An honor student and football team captain is dead after being stabbed by another student at a track meet near Dallas.
Austin Metcalf, 17, was stabbed in the heart during an altercation with another student Wednesday, Metcalf’s father, Jeff, told the media.
At a track meet in Frisco, Texas, Metcalf reportedly told Karmelo Anthony, 17, he was in the wrong spot and asked him to move. An altercation ensued and Anthony pulled out a knife and stabbed Metcalf. Anthony has been charged with first-degree murder.
