A cheerleading coach at a Kansas City-area high school cheered for Charlie Kirk’s assassination with a social media post reading “rest in piss gummy boy.”
“We are aware. We also denounce this post as completely inappropriate,” Superintendent Brian Huff wrote to one parent regarding the startling post by Logan Monty, an assistant cheerleading coach at Gardner Edgerton High School in Kansas.
The Lion reached out to a Gardner Edgerton spokesperson seeking comment and to ascertain if Monty is still employed by the district. She was hired as an assistant cheerleading coach in May 2023.
Monty’s shockingly callous statement was the subject of a post Thursday by the widely read X account Libs of TikTok:
Logan Monty, an assistant coach at @GardnerEdgerton, allegedly posted this following Charlie’s ass*ssination.
“Rest in p*** gummy boy.”

I’m told the district is aware and [is] quietly trying to make it disappear.
