Harris, Trump have vastly different directions for education in America

The polls may remain deadlocked but the policy differences between the presidential candidates are vast.

One of those key areas is education.

The candidates’ proposals present stark contrasts and experts say they could affect K-12 and higher learning in opposite ways in America.

“Our schools must be totally refocused,” said former President Donald Trump in a campaign video.

Trump’s “Agenda47” plan calls for giving rights to parents to hire and fire principals and teachers, backing universal school choice, and directing more money to schools that provide career counseling and help for students seeking jobs and internships.

In the video, Trump also said, “We owe our children great schools that lead to great jobs, and leads to an even greater country than we’re living in right now.”
