Public School Administrator’s Magazine Has No Respect for Parents

District Administration is a magazine aimed at public school superintendents and other district leaders claiming a circulation of over 173,000 copies per issue. The magazine covers a range of topics designed to inform and improve the leadership skills of the country’s public school administrators.

But if you thought District Administration was equipping superintendents to make good decisions about the sometimes controversial issue of what kinds of books should go in school libraries, you’d be wrong. In fact, the editors of the magazine appear to have nothing but contempt for parents and citizens who want to have some say in what kinds of materials are available to children in taxpayer-funded school libraries.
